Saskatoon is a beautiful city with a vibrant downtown, Meewasin Valley Trails to bike and walk, a riverbank that is breathtaking and a University that usually attracts thousands of students each year. It’s also a city that has changed dramatically over the last 20 years.
I have lived in Saskatoon for over 35 years, attended school and raised my children. While my children were young, I put myself through the University of Saskatchewan and attained a 4 year degree in biochemistry, with a minor in animal science. I’ve worked in the animal health industry for over 15 years working with veterinarians, producers and businesses to develop the skills they need to help their own customers do better. I train and educate, collaborating with businesses and coaching their team members to help improve animal health. I’ve been called a creative collaborator, coming up with innovative solutions to help drive business.
Over the years I have watched our city grow and change. I’ve participated in local events, voted in elections and have watched different leaders run and manage our city. I am keenly interested in many of the issues that are brought up at city council, and have watched and followed what our council is doing. I am passionate about our city…. it’s a beautiful place to live and raise a family. Having lived in the city and raised my children here I understand the struggles people face. It’s becoming more and more costly to live in Saskatoon, with utility rates increasing annually, property taxes increasing, and services being cut back. Transportation around the city is difficult, and inadequate, both transit and vehicular. I feel that now is the time to get involved, and get back to the business of running an efficient city and creating a better place for our families to live, work and play.
My plan is to bring a fresh perspective to WARD 9. Find ways to improve services and move forward with what is important to the people who live here….. I believe this can be accomplished in an efficient and cost effective manner. I don’t think I am alone with my vision.
Imagine what we can do with a clear vision for our city!
I am grateful for any help you are able to provide, and thank you for your kind donation. Any donation received will go towards funding my campaign, and with your help, I will be able to serve the residents of Ward 9!
